The problem
The vast majority of CBD and Hemp products currently in the market are with higher levels of THC than what has been approved in the 2018 Farm Bill.
Table of Contents
ToggleWhile national and international limits for THC % range between 0%-0.3% the vast majority of the product out there is “hot”, some assumptions put that number in the 80% and more. This means there are millions of gallons with high amounts of THC and these pose a serious problem and threat to whoever is found harboring or distributing these materials, which is pretty much everyone in the CBD market.
This can result in confiscation, demand to destroy the product, Fines or even in some cases – incarceration.
Existing solutions
Toxic, Expensive and Chemist level personnel
Existing solutions to remove or reduce to compliant THC levels in the market today use toxic solvents such as Heptane, Pentane and Ethanol, and are extremely expensive to operate and require highly trained staff. All these methods are collectively known as Chromatography.
Removing the THC from the products through existing technologies also called THC remediation, this includes but is not limited to different Chromatography methods, Flash Chromatography, Reverse Chromatography, Centrifugal Partition Chromatography and more.
The problem with these is that each method introduces toxic solvents that ruin, reduce and destroy the extract that’s being remediated leaving it with a different color, bad odor, and on top of that are extremely expensive ranging between $0.70/gram to $2/gram and even more, and purchasing decent equipment to do that will start in the hundreds of thousands and to scale will go into the millions.
PURE5™ solution
Natural, Cost efficient, Simple and Proprietary tech
PURE5™ current solution is fully organic method to remediate the THC through a natural, solventless and cost-efficient method. The solution is fully natural and no expertise is required to operate the equipment.
The process is performing fully DEA compliant THC remediation in a natural way and not by separating components as most of the known chromatography techniques. It involves natural decay of the THC into other cannabinoids while maintaining the overall cannabinoid potency and not harming the rest of the material.
This would be the most NATURAL way today to remediate THC without using harmful solvents. Currently we already have operational machines that can do up to 2L/day and are currently developing 10L/day, 50L/day, 100L/day and 500L/day systems.
Test results
Below are example test results showing the results of the remediation process. Staring oil has 2.11% THC and 3 more cannabinoids CBG, CBD and CBC.
Before
After the process is finished the entourage cannabinoids are still in tact less than the THC remediated.
After
Our exceptional THC remediation equipment and technologies are targeting solventless and fully natural process occurrence.
