Extraction
At the heart of the 120L SHW system is a sophisticated, solventless extraction process powered by superheated liquid water. Here’s a breakdown of how it works:
Thermal Activation Water is heated up to 180°C (356°F) while pressurized to maintain its liquid form. Under these conditions, water undergoes a significant change in polarity, allowing it to mimic the behavior of an organic solvent—capable of extracting a broad spectrum of active compounds from plant biomass.
Penetration & Solubilization The heated, pressurized water is passed through the plant material inside two 60L extraction chambers, efficiently dissolving and carrying both lipophilic and hydrophilic compounds—including cannabinoids, terpenes, essential oils, flavonoids, and other valuable actives.
Cooling & Separation Once extraction is complete, the system initiates a cool-down and depressurization cycle. As the water returns to its natural high-polarity state, the solubility of the dissolved compounds drops dramatically. This shift causes the actives to precipitate or separate out naturally, enabling straightforward collection without chemical residues or aggressive separation methods.
